Responsibilities:

Prioritize and triage tasks according to deadlines Support the quality and safety standards Participate in cost control initiatives as it relates to budget, labor and waste reduction Regularly communicate with internal departments (engineering, purchasing, Quality Control and shift leaders) and external teams (customers, vendors, transportation) Lead and improve workflow, standard procedures and schedules for team members Coordinate timely loading and unloading of shipments Direct the storage and material flow of products Resolve issues related to storage, receiving and delivery of materials Delegate tasks amongst logistics personnel to support efficient product movements and delivery Interview prospective employees for the department Train employees on best practices and company procedures including equipment operation, SOPs, safety, etc Lead team meetings to debrief company objectives, daily goals, problem-solve hurdles and provide overall structure Document performance, attendance or other issues appropriately with Human Resources ...

Skills:

Previous supervisory experience within a warehouse setting Forklift Operation experience Computer proficiency Experience mentoring or training your peers Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

Education:

Associate's degree in a related field

Experience:

2 years at a minimum

Qualifications:

Associate's degree plus demonstrated related experience in a similar position of 2 years minimum. Ability to effectively read, write, speak and comprehend English. Must be able to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Must be able to demonstrate good attendance. Manual and finger dexterity. Must be able to work extended hours and/or overtime as required. Must be able to participate in job development training, such as equipment cross-training and team development training.
