Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Licensed Veterinary Technician and become a vital part of providing exceptional animal care! In this energetic role, you will support veterinarians in delivering comprehensive medical services, assist with animal handling and diagnostics, and ensure a smooth flow of daily operations. Your expertise will help improve the health and well-being of our diverse patient population, ranging from small pets to larger animals. Duties Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures, including animal restraint, catheterization, and laboratory testing. Perform dental cleanings, including understanding dental terminology and maintaining aseptic techniques. Handle animals safely using proper animal husbandry practices and animal physiology knowledge. Operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines and maintain accurate records of imaging results. Support pet care activities like grooming, pet grooming, and dog training to promote comfort and cooperation. Manage laboratory tasks including sample collection, processing, and understanding veterinary laboratory procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work environment by following strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Provide compassionate animal handling during examinations, treatments, and recovery processes across various species including equine if applicable. Requirements Valid license as a Veterinary Technician or equivalent credential. Proven veterinary technician experience with a strong understanding of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and animal restraint techniques. Experience working with dogs, cats, and other small animals; kennel experience is a plus. Knowledge of dental terminology, pet care, and pet grooming practices. Hands-on experience with laboratory procedures, X-ray operation, and veterinary critical care is highly desirable. Ability to handle animals safely using proper restraint methods; familiarity with equine or larger animal experience is advantageous. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients. Commitment to ongoing learning in areas such as veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and advanced diagnostic techniques.
