We are looking for someone that can work well with others, multitask and has a positive attitude. APAWS is a 501c3 non-profit veterinary hospital located in Eastpointe, MI. Our objective is to provide high-quality veterinary care at an affordable price. All employees at APAWS Veterinary Hospital are eligible for the Student Loan Forgiveness Program.
Technician Duties:
Provide compassionate care for patients Client communication and education Medical notes/Maintain records Proficient with medical terminology/pharmacology Understand both canine and feline health and anatomy Assist with surgical procedures/Monitor vitals Accurately draw up/administer medications (Oral, topical, injectable) Place IV catheters and collect samples from patients Perform diagnostics: radiograph, ultrasound, in-house lab machines, microscope Communicate and work well with team members Cornerstone (practice software) experience is preferred but not needed
