Licensed Veterinary Technician for Avian and Exotics - Signing Bonus Included!

We are currently offering a signing bonus for this position! We are seeking a New York State licensed veterinary technician (part-time or full-time) for Avian and Exotics to join our team at our full-service exotics-only animal hospital (no cats and dogs)! Work with four full-time doctors and experienced support staff. We are ideally looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and great communication skills.

Your responsibilities would include: Client communication and education Assisting veterinarians with exams/procedures Venipuncture Administering medications (injectable, topical, oral) Nursing care Obtain laboratory samples, run in-house tests, and send samples to outside labs Diagnostic imaging Anesthesia and surgical monitoring Patient monitoring and post-op recovery Filling prescriptions and reviewing medications with clients Recording patient history in medical records Providing compassionate exotic pet care Flexible schedule with weekend availability. Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of New York is required. We will also consider students currently enrolled in a veterinary technician program for this position.
