Licensed Vocational Nurse

Alta Loma Transformational Services is hiring for a Full-Time Licensed Vocational Nurse to fill the positions at our facilities located in Georgetown, TX. This position will work approximately 40 hours a week. Experience preferred with Substance Abuse and complex Mental Health issues.

Job Duties:

Performs on-site medical observation, monitoring, and other resident services. Assesses all new intakes to determine the presence and extent of mental health and substance abuse issues. Document interactions between staff Psychiatrists and residents. Observes and trains all staff to observe and report self-administration of medication. Assures through open communication with the pharmacy that medications are documented and delivered to residents in a timely manner. Maintains open communication with Medical Director and Psychiatrist in reference to medications and other medical needs for residents. Communicates with clinical, medical, and administrative staff regarding resident disorders, issues, or concerns. Adheres to all facility, State, and Federal policies and procedures concerning resident confidentiality, rights, and anonymity. Assures that appropriate boundary and ethical behavior are maintained at all times with residents, families, and other professionals. Communicates clearly and efficiently. Participates in weekly staff meetings. Maintains current stock of OTC medication and other medical supplies. Provides resident support services. Creates and maintains a safe, comfortable, and resident-focused treatment environment. Ensures resident safety at all times.
