Job Description
Position available for either an LVN or an LPT We are looking to fill a couple of shifts: Saturday 7 AM until 3:30 PM; Sunday 3:00 PM- 11:30PM, and Monday overnight from 11:00 PM until 7:30 AM; and on-call if available.

Part-Time Sonoma Recovery Services, LLC provides high-quality residential chemical dependency services to adult men and women. The overarching goal of the program is to assist residents in attaining and maintaining a life free from chemical dependency. Sonoma Recovery Services, LLC is an At-Will employer. Under the supervision of the Nursing Manager, the LVN/LPT is responsible for overseeing all medication-related duties in close coordination with the individual's physician, providing counseling to individuals on health, and assisting individuals in meeting their overall health needs by providing linkage with outside medical providers. 1. Verify and monitor all centrally located medications. 2. Assure that all medication and health-related information is appropriately documented. 3. Consult with the individual's physician as needed. 4. Maintain a milieu that is focused on the individual's recovery. 5. Protect the rights of the individuals being served and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations. 6. Provide supervision to individuals needing to take medications and assuring accurate recording of all medications taken. 7. Provide in-service training to staff on medications, Universal Precautions and other health-related issues. 8. Obtain and process breathalyzer and urinalysis screens following Universal Precautions procedures. 9. Provide for the overall safety of the individuals in the program by monitoring. behavioral and self-report that indicate a medical or psychiatric concern. 10. Develop resources as necessary for the overall operations of the program. 11. Assist as needed to maintain the facility in a safe and clean condition. 12. Assist as needed to assure that appropriate food service is provided. 13. Assure that all services are provided in a culturally competent manner. 14. Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 1. Current California License as either a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Psychiatric Technician 2. Knowledge of the effects of drugs of abuse including intoxication and detox symptoms 3. Knowledge of detox protocols for major drugs of abuse 4. Ability to physically assist individuals served in crisis situations This job is primarily performed in an office environment, and requires frequent use of computers, telephones, fax and copy machines, and printers. In order to fulfil the duties of this role, the LVN/LPT must be able to: §Frequently:
lift/carry 10 lbs. or less; sit; stand; walk; bend; twist/turn; use the telephone; write; and type §Occasionally:
lift/carry up to 20 lbs.; squat; kneel; and drive a vehicle with automatic transmission §Rarely:
