In this dynamic role, you will ensure the safety and well-being of campers and staff by maintaining a secure swimming environment, providing exceptional guest services, and supporting camp operations through kitchen duties. Duties Monitor swimming areas to ensure safety by enforcing rules and responding swiftly to emergencies using first aid and CPR skills Conduct regular pool maintenance including cleaning, water testing, and ensuring proper chemical levels for a safe swimming environment Perform pool cleaning tasks such as skimming debris, vacuuming, and maintaining pool equipment Provide friendly guest services by assisting campers and staff with pool access, answering questions, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere Support kitchen operations by preparing simple meals or snacks, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with food service logistics Assist with heavy lifting of supplies or equipment around the camp facilities as needed Maintain accurate records of pool maintenance activities and safety checks Skills Proven lifeguard experience with current certification in CPR and First Aid Strong swimming ability and comfort in water environments Knowledge of pool maintenance procedures including chemical testing and cleaning techniques Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently Experience with pool cleaning tools and equipment is preferred Reliable team player with strong communication skills and attention to detail This role is essential in creating a safe, fun-filled environment where campers can thrive physically, socially, and spiritually.
