Challenge Camp would like to talk to you about joining our aquatics team for Summer 2026. Challenge Camp is an ACA accredited summer day camp located at Iona University in New Rochelle celebrating our 45th year of offering summer enrichment learning opportunities for creative children. Our program runs from 9AM

• 4PM and is divided into 2 Sessions, June 29
• July 24 and July 27
• August 14. Our Swimming program will take place in the indoor pool at Iona University during the afternoons from 12:30
• 4PM.

We are seeking an Lifeguards / Swim Instructors for the full 7 weeks. The Aquatics Team is responsible for implementing our swimming program and ensuring proper safety for the pool area.

Aquatics team responsibilities include:

Enforcing pool rules and regulations Lifeguarding and ensuring safety of all people in and out of pool Teaching daily swim instruction to campers ages of 4-14 with different ability levels Collaborating with other Aquatics team members to share various responsibilities Maintaining progress reports for campers and related paperwork Supervising campers Informing Aquatics Director of any concerns regarding the health, safety, and security of the campers. Qualified candidates should have a background in Swimming or Lifeguarding and related certifications.

Requirements:

• Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding and CPR Certifications, WSI certification a plus
• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Experience working with children or in a camp environment a plus Must be friendly and outgoing to serve as a role model for our campers All candidates must undergo a background check.

We are looking for enthusiastic Aquatics Team members with a background in Swimming, Lifeguarding and Swim instruction for our Day Camp in New Rochelle, New York. Candidates should have current certifications for CPR, First Aid / Lifeguarding and / or WSI. Candidates that live locally, or with access to local housing only please.
