In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for supervising pool activities, maintaining a clean and safe swimming area, and providing engaging swim instruction to learners of all ages. Responsibilities Vigilantly monitor pool areas to prevent accidents and respond swiftly to emergencies using established safety protocols. Enforce pool rules and regulations to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all guests. Conduct regular pool maintenance tasks such as cleaning, chemical testing, and equipment inspections to maintain optimal water quality. Provide professional swim instruction tailored to individual skill levels, encouraging progress and confidence in swimmers. Assist with guest services by answering questions, offering directions, and ensuring visitors have an enjoyable experience. Perform routine pool cleaning duties including skimming, vacuuming, and ensuring the surrounding area is tidy and hazard-free. Respond to first aid situations with composure and efficiency, utilizing CPR and other emergency procedures when necessary. Skills Proven lifeguard experience with current certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid. Strong swimming skills with the ability to perform water rescues confidently. Knowledge of pool maintenance practices including chemical balancing and equipment handling. Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor. Ability to perform heavy lifting when needed for pool equipment or supplies. Experience in swim instruction or teaching swimming techniques is preferred but not required. Ability to remain alert for extended periods while maintaining focus on safety and supervision.
