Lifeguard/Swim Instructor

Job Summary Join our dynamic Y-Day Camp team as a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and engaging environment for all campers. This energetic position combines vigilant supervision with inspiring swim lessons, fostering confidence and safety for our campers. You will be responsible for maintaining a secure aquatic space while delivering daily swim lessons, making every day at the pool a positive experience for kids. Responsibilities Vigilantly monitor pool areas to prevent accidents and respond swiftly to emergencies using established safety protocols. Conduct regular pool maintenance, including cleaning filters, skimming debris, and ensuring water quality meets health standards. Provide engaging swim instruction to kids age 5-12 years old, tailoring lessons to skill levels and promoting water safety awareness. Perform routine pool cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, scrubbing tiles, and maintaining safety equipment to uphold cleanliness and safety standards. Enforce pool rules consistently and diplomatically to promote a safe and respectful atmosphere for all visitors. Respond to first aid situations with confidence, administering CPR or other necessary emergency care as trained. Qualifications Proven lifeguard experience with current certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid from an accredited organization. Strong swimming skills with the ability to perform water rescues confidently. Experience in swim instruction or teaching swimming lessons is preferred. Help with maintenance procedures including cleaning, chemical testing, and equipment handling. Excellent with communication and a positive attitude. Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and work flexible hours. Embark on a rewarding journey where your dedication ensures safety while inspiring our campers! This position has options for a few days and up to 5 days . Main Lifeguarding hours are 12:00pm-3:30pm Monday-Friday. With option to work additional hours at Camp if wanted. Camp hours are 8:45am-4:15pm Monday- Friday. This position runs from June 29th -August 21st, with a mandatory week of staff training June 22nd-June 26th.

$600.00 - $700.00 per week
