Light Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining and repairing essential climate control systems across commercial and residential properties. Duties Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs. Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems such as pipe fitting, drainage, and refrigerant line connections. Conduct routine inspections of HVAC equipment using tools like ohmmeters and welding equipment to ensure proper operation. Service refrigeration units. Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance data. Respond promptly to field service requests, providing expert solutions for property maintenance issues related to heating and cooling systems. Requirements Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with a strong mechanical background. Knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration) systems including refrigeration cycles and refridgerants. Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design documents accurately. Skilled in plumbing, appliance repair, welding, boiler operation, and general equipment repair. Familiarity with construction processes related to HVAC installation projects. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers preferred. Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in field service environments. Certifications or training in HVAC/R systems are highly desirable; ongoing learning encouraged. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team on property maintenance tasks.
