Line Cook

Job description Job Summary We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will support meal preparation and presentation while upholding the highest standards of food quality and safety. You'll play a key part in daily kitchen operations, contribute ideas to menu development, and help maintain a clean, efficient workspace. Working closely with the Head Cook and kitchen staff, you'll help create outstanding dining experiences for our guests. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines. Support menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized kitchen workspace. Help with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as needed. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during busy periods. Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety standards. Maintain equipment cleanliness and report any maintenance needs to management. Qualifications Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential. Familiarity with menu planning and meal preparation techniques is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration. Confident in foundational cooking skills and eager to expand culinary knowledge and techniques. Open to working a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends when needed.
