Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in fine dining or catering environments. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality meals while maintaining food safety standards and ensuring efficient kitchen operations. Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper food handling practices. Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for seasonal offerings. Ensure all food safety guidelines are followed, including proper storage and handling of ingredients. Utilize knife skills effectively for meal preparation, ensuring precision and efficiency. Participate in inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed. Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while adhering to quality standards. Provide exceptional food service during meal times, ensuring guest satisfaction. Qualifications Previous experience in a line cook or similar role within the food industry is preferred. Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on cooking techniques and food preparation methods. Experience in fine dining or catering is a plus, showcasing an understanding of high-quality service expectations. Knowledge of dietary department protocols or experience as a dietary aide is advantageous. Familiarity with menu planning and the ability to contribute creatively to menu offerings. Excellent knife skills and attention to detail in meal preparation are essential. Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices for handling food products. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within the kitchen staff.
