Line Cook

The Old Bakery Beer Company, located in Alton, IL is seeking a line cook. The cook will be responsible for accurately and efficiently preparing a menu consisting of a variety of seasonal appetizers, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and specials. They will be expected to always maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked station.

Responsibilities:

Complete opening, shift change, and closing checklists each day Prep a variety of condiments, vegetables, meats, dairy, etc. for use in final dishes Comply consistently with our standard of quality, methods, and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures Keep kitchen stocked and organized throughout shift to set up for smooth service Maintain a clean and organized work station Follow proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes Handle, store, and rotate all products properly Assist with food prep assignments Prepare and serve food orders Wash dishes as needed Perform additional related duties as assigned by the manager-on-duty Requirements Working knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and storage procedures Good oral communication skills Ability to work as part of a team Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time Prior kitchen experience preferred Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds Must be able to follow printed recipes and verbal instruction Pay and Perks $17+ per hour Shift meals 30% discount on all other purchases
