Your responsibilities will include:

Job Requirement:

• Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Thai food according to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, equipment, and dishware.
• Ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored, checking for quality and expiration dates.
• Manage cooking times and portion sizes to maintain consistency and quality in every dish served.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery of meals.
• Communicate effectively with servers to coordinate orders and timing for table service.
• Adjust seasoning and flavors to meet the distinct tastes of Thai Baan while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Assist in menu development by providing input on dish innovation and seasonal offerings.
• Respond to special dietary requests and accommodate guests with allergies when necessary.
• Uphold all health, safety, and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen to ensure a safe working environment.

• Minimum age requirement of 18 years Education, Certifications and /or licenses:
• High School Diploma preferred

Experience:

• Understanding of various ingredients used in Thai cuisine, including herbs, spices, and specialty items.
• Knowledge and expertise in food preparation and wok cooking techniques, particularly those specific to Thai dishes.
• Ability to follow precise recipes and adjust flavors to enhance meal presentation and taste.
• Strong attention to detail and maturity in executing cooking tasks while maintaining kitchen safety standards.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Working knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques relevant to Thai cuisine.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and sanitation practices in a commercial kitchen.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.

Physical Demand:

• Ability to perform all functions at the restaurant level, including delivery when needed.
• Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing 45 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion.
• Standing and walking during entire shift covering large areas

Working Conditions and Environment:

• Hours may vary but amount to 30-40hrs, Able to work flexible schedules
• Ability to perform all functions at the restaurant level.
• Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing 45 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion.
• Work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment as well as operates phones, computers, fax machines, copiers, and other office equipment.
• Essential hand/eye coordination
• Work is normally performed in a typical interior restaurant/bar/casino work environment
• Noise level is moderate to high
• Limited exposure to physical risk
• Moderate physical effort required
