Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team! looking for a responsible individual to work a full time position in casual Italian eatery. We are closed most major holidays which you will be compensated for and have a one week summer break for family time. paid vacation after 1st year with incremental raises. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards, focusing on grilling and food presentation. Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times. Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient selection and dish presentation. Handle food with care, ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed to prevent contamination. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service during busy hours. Support catering events and special functions by preparing large quantities of grilled items and ensuring consistency across all dishes. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients, communicate shortages, and assist in stock rotation to minimize waste. Qualifications Proven experience in a restaurant or food industry setting, particularly with grill or line cooking responsibilities. Strong culinary skills including food preparation, cooking techniques, knife skills, and meal assembly. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Experience with dietary department requirements or dietary aide roles is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. Prior experience in fine dining or catering environments is highly desirable.
