Job Description

The Cove at Cobb Island is expanding our back-of-house culinary team. We are seeking experienced Line Cooks and Prep Cooks for both day and evening shifts who are passionate about precision, quality, and exceptional food presentation. In this role, you will be an essential part of an upscale culinary concept, executing high-quality dishes, maintaining impeccable station cleanliness, and contributing to a smooth, fast-paced kitchen operation. Duties & Responsibilities Line Cooks:
Execute menu items to specifications, managing ticket times and ensuring quality presentation.
Prep Cooks:
Efficiently portion, chop, assemble ingredients, and follow recipes to ensure consistency and quality for service. Maintain strict cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of your station to uphold high health and safety standards. Ensure proper food handling, storage, rotation (FIFO), and temperature controls at all times. Communicate effectively and work seamlessly with the kitchen team to ensure a smooth, synchronized service.
Qualifications & Skills Experience Required:
Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a line or prep cook, preferably in an upscale, fine dining, or polished casual concept. Strong proficiency in advanced food preparation techniques, knife skills, and kitchen safety protocols. Ability to work efficiently and maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Availability for day and/or evening shifts, including weekends. Reliable, punctual, and possesses a strong work ethic with a team-first attitude. ServSafe certification is highly preferred.
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal Pay:
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour
