Line Cook/Prep Cook/Dishwasher

Overview Elizabeth's Italian is a brand new modern Italian concept from the owners of Mezcal in Old Bridge and 618 in Freehold. Set to be the new hot spot in NJ, we are currently looking to fill a few positions for our opening team in the culinary department. We currently have openings for line cooks, prep cooks, dishwashers and cleaners. Come join our culture and grow with us as we continue to set the standard for hospitality in NJ! Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assist in meal assembly according to established recipes and standards Cook menu items with precision, ensuring quality, presentation, and timely delivery Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment in compliance with food safety regulations Support food handling procedures to ensure proper storage, sanitation, and safety practices are followed Assist with dishwashing duties to keep the kitchen running smoothly and efficiently Help with menu planning and portion control to optimize food costs and minimize waste Support catering events or special functions as needed, ensuring excellent service and food quality Qualifications Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or the food industry is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is valued Knowledge of dietary department practices or dietary aide experience is a plus Strong knife skills and familiarity with basic cooking techniques are desirable Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Experience with meal preparation, food presentation, and catering services is advantageous Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude and strong communication abilities This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their culinary expertise while contributing to a lively kitchen atmosphere.
