Line Cook/Prep Cook/Dishwasher

Job Summary Ozzie's General Market is looking for a reliable and motivated Line Cook to join our growing kitchen team. We're a fast-paced, high-volume environment serving fresh-made subs, fried chicken, grill items, and beer for on-premise consumption . Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards Operate grill, flat top, and fryer stations Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation Follow food safety and handling procedures Assist with food prep, stocking, and kitchen organization Work efficiently during high-volume periods Support front-of-house with beer service (19+ required for alcohol handling) Experience Previous experience in a food industry setting such as restaurants, catering, or dietary departments is preferred Familiarity with food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety standards is highly valued Skills in knife handling, meal preparation, and food service are essential for success in this role Experience working with dietary aides or in dietary departments enhances your ability to meet specific nutritional needs Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices is required Prior kitchen experience demonstrating teamwork and efficiency will help you thrive in this fast-paced environment

Qualifications:

Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and consistency Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented Must be 19 years or older (due to alcohol service) Must be available to work nights and weekends

Pay:

$12.00 - $15.00 per hour
