Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join our legal team. This vital role offers the opportunity to support complex litigation cases involving medical malpractice. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing case files, conducting legal research, drafting documents, and providing administrative support to attorneys. This position is ideal for someone passionate about the legal field who is detail oriented and eager to contribute to impactful legal work. All roles are paid positions, emphasizing our commitment to fair compensation for your expertise. Duties Draft and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence with precision and clarity. Manage case files electronically and physically, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and easily accessible for litigation purposes. Perform data entry and maintain meticulous records of case developments, court deadlines, and client communications. Support attorneys with client interviews by preparing questions and documenting responses effectively. Coordinate meetings, court filings, depositions, and other litigation-related activities while maintaining excellent phone etiquette and organizational skills. Qualifications Paralegal experience or legal administrative experience within a litigation law office setting is required. Prior experience with medical malpractice litigation is a plus. Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and court filing requirements. Flexibility and willingness to learn policies and procedures in multiple jurisdictions nationwide. Experience with legal case management software like Filevine is highly preferred. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to draft and proofread is essential. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in an often fast-paced environment. Strong project management capabilities to handle complex litigation workflows from inception through resolution. Effective interviewing skills to gather pertinent information from clients or witnesses accurately. Experience with data entry and clerical tasks is expected.
