Job Description
Live-In Caregiver - Private Apartment Included Newbridge Place | Lodi, Ohio | Nonprofit | Mission-Driven This isn't a typical caregiving job. It's a calling with a home. At Newbridge Place, we've spent 28 years doing something rare: providing genuine, long-term stability for adults who have very few places to turn — mostly veterans and individuals living with mental health challenges. We're not a large corporation. We're a small, close-knit team of about 14 people who show up every day because this work matters. We're looking for one more person like that. What This Position Actually Looks Like You'll live on-site in a private, fully furnished apartment — utilities and meals included — and serve as the evening and overnight presence for 16 residents who depend on consistency, calm, and someone who genuinely has their back. Your workday ends at 10 PM. After that, you're available overnight on a sleep shift basis, responding if a resident needs emergency support. Your mornings are your own.
Schedule:
5 days on / 2 days off Active hours: 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sleep shift: 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Serve dinner and clean up the kitchen afterward Support residents through their evening routines Administer and document medications Maintain common areas and a calm, structured environment Complete daily documentation and shift reports Respond to resident needs or emergencies with good judgment and composure Compensation We believe you deserve to know exactly what this opportunity is worth before you apply.Hourly wage:
$15.00/hour Scheduled hours: 25 hours per week (active shift hours) Weekly pay: ~$375/week ($19,500/year base) Additional hours available for those who want them Private furnished apartment — on-site, all utilities paid (estimated value: $800-$1,000/month) Meals provided CPR and First Aid certification paid by Newbridge Place Total estimated annual value: $29,100-$31,500+ , depending on additional hours worked. What You'll Receive Beyond Compensation A stable, long-term position with an organization that has operated continuously for nearly three decades A workplace where you're known by name, not a number Meaningful work that makes a measurable difference in people's lives Who We're Looking For You don't need a clinical background — though experience in caregiving, residential care, mental health, or human services is a plus. What matters most is who you are: Calm under pressure — evenings in a residential care setting require steady nerves and good judgment A person of integrity — we're direct about this: we hold our team to a high standard of honesty and professionalism, and we expect the same from everyone who joins us Genuinely interested in the people you serve — not just going through the motions Reliable — 16 residents are counting on you to show up, every time Professional in conduct and communication — with residents, families, and colleagues alike Organized and comfortable with documentation and routine Compassionate personality Valid driver's license required Must pass a background check and drug screeningImportant:
Our Environment Newbridge Place is a substance-free community — for residents and staff alike. The facility is free of alcohol and drugs, and this standard applies to everyone living and working on-site. Applicants must be committed to living substance-free as a condition of this position. A Word About Our Residents Most are veterans. Many carry the weight of co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges. What they need most isn't clinical perfection — it's a steady, trustworthy presence at the end of the day. If that description moves you, you may be exactly who we're looking for. If you are compassionate, reliable, and looking for a rewarding opportunity where your work matters every day, we encourage you to apply. Ready to Apply?
