Resident Assistant (RA) - 2025-2026 Academic Year A Better Chance of Andover A Better Chance of Andover is seeking a Resident Assistant (RA) for the 2025-2026 academic year, with the potential to continue through the 2026-2027 school year. Compensation Private room, board, cable, internet, utilities, and off-street parking Employment Type Part-time, live-in position We are looking for a Resident Assistant to live in residence at the ABC dormitory on Main Street in Andover, MA, supporting a cohort of eight Scholars throughout the academic year. Our Scholars are young BIPOC women from across the country who attend Andover High School, pursuing pathways to college while developing as leaders in a supportive, family-style environment. Resident Assistants serve as mentors and play a critical role in shaping the Scholars' experience in Andover. The RA position runs through mid-June and follows a part-time, rotating schedule (approximately 20-25 hours per week, depending on weekend duty). This structure allows flexibility for RAs to pursue careers, studies, or personal commitments. Off-duty time typically occurs during the school day, on rotating weekday evenings and weekends, and during scheduled school vacations (Thanksgiving, December, February, and April). Compensation Details RAs receive a large private bedroom, meals, cable, internet, utilities, and parking for the academic year. There is also an opportunity to remain in residence during July and August. Qualifications Bachelor's degree (or equivalent), or upper-level undergraduate currently pursuing a degree Valid driver's license and auto insurance Experience working with teens or young adults preferred Ability to maintain structure and accountability with compassion and consistency in a close residential setting RAs may be employed or enrolled in school while in this role.
