Job Responsibilities:
Demonstrate safety as a core value by actively supporting a safe work environment and following all safety policies and procedures. Assist in operating production machinery to meet expected quality and production levels. Prioritize product quality by monitoring for defects including loose liner, warp, incorrect size, and print accuracy. Support the Operator in maximizing equipment efficiency by maintaining proper machine operation at established speed and capacity. Assist with troubleshooting basic machine issues to help reduce downtime and material waste. Participate in cross-training on multiple machines and assist in switching duties as needed. Help maintain preventative maintenance efforts by reporting equipment issues and submitting maintenance work orders to supervision. Perform routine housekeeping, cleaning, and organization of work areas to ensure a safe and efficient production environment. Assist in training and supporting other helpers or assistant-level employees at the machine. Follow all company policies, procedures, and required monthly OSHA safety training. Make recommendations to improve production efficiency, quality, and workflow when appropriate. Work overtime as required based on business needs. Perform additional duties as assigned to support plant operations.
Required Experience:
A strong desire to learn and excel in fast-paced manufacturing Preferred candidates will have prior work experience in the corrugated industry Punctuality and a commitment to regular and predictable attendance Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others Dedication to always wearing safety gear Availability for overtime as needed Additional skills:
Reading and Communication:
Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical:
Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy. Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurements, volume, and rate. Able to apply concepts of high school math.
Technical:
Working knowledge of equipment design and capabilities for efficient operation. Familiarity with quality standards and regulatory requirements, including OSHA, DEQ, EEO, and company policies. Attributes for Success Hard work
