LMR Land Mobile Radio Support TEKsystems $55.28 / hr life insurance, sick time, 401(k), retirement plan United States, Utah, Dugway May 20, 2026
- Description
- TEKsystems is looking for a Land Mobile Radio (LMR) Technician who will be providing technical and administrative support for enterprise LMR systems and frequency spectrum operations.
- Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, program, and troubleshoot LMR equipment including mobile, portable, base station, repeater, microwave, and airtoground radio systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and system adjustments to manufacturer specifications.
- Support RF engineering activities such as propagation modeling, interference analysis, microwave path analysis, and frequency coordination.
- Maintain system availability targets (minimum 95% operational status) across all supported radio systems.
- Install and remove radio equipment in vehicles and facilities as required.
- Maintain accurate equipment accountability and service documentation within maintenance management systems.
- Provide electronics maintenance and sustainment support for nontactical communications equipment, repeaters, relay stations, and associated infrastructure.
- Technologies Supported
- Trunked LMR systems
- PointtoPoint microwave systems
- VHF/UHF repeaters and mobile/portable radios
- Airtoground radios
- Antennas, duplexers, servers, switches, consoles, and related infrastructure
- Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting LMR or telecommunications systems.
- Strong experience in RF theory, transmitters/receivers, antennas, modulation techniques, and radio trunking systems.
- Experience analyzing and resolving complex telecommunications issues.
- Ability to adapt to evolving technologies while adhering to policies and regulatory requirements.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and organizational skills.
- A secret clearance is required
- Willingness to be onsite 5 days a week.
- You must get Motorola 7.11 or latest certification
- Within 90 days of start date but we will pay for the certification.
- Spectrum XXI Training
- Within six (6) months of employee start date but we will pay for certification.

- This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dugway, UT.
- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $55.28
- $55.28/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
