Merchants Bank, Rugby North Dakota is seeking a Loan Officer to join our team. ###

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Loan Officer to join our team. As a Loan Officer, you will be responsible for assisting clients in securing loans for various purposes. You will work closely with clients to understand their financial needs and provide them with suitable loan options. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial sales, underwriting, and credit analysis. ###

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate loan applications and determine the eligibility of applicants based on creditworthiness, income, and other relevant factors.
• Maintain and grow current loan portfolio.
• Guide clients through the loan application process, ensuring all required documents are collected and submitted accurately and in a timely manner.
• Conduct thorough credit analysis to assess the risk associated with each loan application.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns throughout the loan process.
• Originate loans by preparing loan packages, including necessary documentation and disclosures.
• Keep current on all FSA, SBA and BND Loan Programs.

Skills:

• Candidate should have a good understanding of Agriculture and Agriculture credit.
• Proficient in underwriting principles and credit analysis techniques.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
• Solid understanding of basic math principles for calculating interest rates, payments, and other loan-related figures.
• Knowledge of loan origination software systems.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
