Job Description

About the Role The Loan Operations Specialist plays a key part in ensuring loan quality, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across the bank's lending portfolio. This position supports both pre‑closing and post‑closing processes, ensuring loan files, documentation, and collateral are accurate, complete, and compliant with internal and regulatory standards. What You'll Do Conduct loan reviews — Perform basic to complex pre‑ and post‑closing file reviews following bank policies and procedures. Ensure documentation accuracy — Review loan documents, loan bookings, and scanned files for completeness and compliance. Verify collateral perfection — Confirm collateral is properly perfected, documented, and scanned. Manage paid‑off loan files — Ensure timely and compliant completion of paid loan files. Prepare loan documents — Accurately prepare documents for consumer, commercial, agricultural, real estate, construction, and specialty loans (SBA, USDA, LOCs, participations). Support loan staff — Assist loan assistants and officers in assembling complete, compliant loan packages. Maintain compliance standards — Follow BSA and Compliance policies across all loan operations activities. Deliver professional service — Greet and assist customers and visitors as needed. Collaborate across teams — Communicate clearly and work harmoniously with all staff. Stay current on regulations — Maintain knowledge of operational procedures, loan policy, IRS rules, account ownership, and related compliance topics. What You Bring Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum 2 years of loan operations or related banking experience Strong understanding of loan products, loan documentation systems, and bank processes Ability to work independently, resolve issues, and follow through on tasks Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and core banking systems Strong verbal and written communication skills Customer‑focused mindset with a commitment to accuracy and compliance Additional Requirements Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally Ability to read and interpret procedures, regulations, and technical documents Ability to calculate interest, percentages, and basic financial figures Comfortable working in a typical office environment with moderate noise Why Join Us You'll be part of a collaborative, community‑focused bank where accuracy, integrity, and teamwork matter.
