Job Description

Job Overview The Location Manager is responsible for the management, sales and inventory at location as well as overall maintenance of the facility. The ideal candidate will be a driven self starter with experience in managing an agriculture supply location or 3+ years of operations experience with a desire to take the next step into management.
Other qualifications:
Agtrax and/or Agris experience preferred. Class A CDL preferred. 7B fumigation license prefered. Agriculture background required. Basic agriculture chemical knowlege Grain grading and handling experience preferred. Basic fertilizer handling experience Basic maintenance and repair abilities Responsibilities
  • Assist the General Manager by promoting the value of the Coop by maintaining a favorable image within the community;
  • Must have working knowledge in all areas of operations and possess strong business knowledge skills;
  • Possess good computer skills;
  • Perform all aspects of grain elevator operation as required;
  • Must be able to operate forklift and other equipment with proper training;
  • Possesses leadership skills necessary to direct and work with employees under direct supervision in all areas of operation;
  • Responsible for training employees for their respective positions and communicating the importance of doing the job right the first time;
  • Responsible for safety training at location;
  • Stress the importance of using proper protective equipment during performance of jobs;
  • Serves as emergency coordinator at location in the event of an emergency or disaster situation;
  • Must be able to communicate the goals and purpose of the Coop to employees;
  • Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of all assets under control;
  • Responsible for grain quality and quantity at the location;
  • Responsible for product inventory, both quantity and pricing;
  • Ensure issuance and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE);
  • Responsible for communicating with General Manager the needs of the operation as it pertains to fixed asset purchases, repair and maintenance of equipment, etc.;
  • Works with General Manager to improve practices that will benefit Land Run Farmers Coop in the future such as, inventory control, product pricing, grain handling, expense control, etc.;
  • Maintains and promotes safety awareness; follows safety policies, procedures and reporting requirements;
  • Understand and comply with all state and federal regulations;
  • Regular and sustained attendance;
  • Employee is required to perform all other duties as directed by the General Manager.
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
