Job Description
Position Summary:
The Location Service Manager (LSM) provides leadership and direction to technicians to support a 24-hour, 7 day a week operation. This role ensures reliable equipment uptime, clear customer communication, disciplined service execution, and strong technician development. The LSM balances people leadership, customer accountability, and cross-functional coordination while ensuring standards are upheld, and escalations happen early and cleanly.Objectives:
This LSM is responsible for overseeing both Service and Install Technicians at the Buckeye, AZ location.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Service Execution & Customer Ownership Oversee daily service operations, ensuring timely, high-quality work and customer satisfaction Serve as the main contact for escalations and resolve issues efficiently Ensure system uptime through effective troubleshooting and follow-through Ensure documentation and reporting are completed accurately and submitted on time to support proper billing. 2. Installation (as applicable) Coordinate installation activities, including crews and subcontractors Manage schedules, labor, materials, and resources Ensure smooth transition from installation to service with proper documentation 3. Service Handoff & Commissioning Support commissioning and ensure systems meet required standards Approve installations before service handoff Take ownership of customer relationships and system performance post-installation 4. Maintenance (as applicable) Oversee preventive maintenance and ensure quality execution Identify and escalate recurring issues or performance gaps 5. Regional Alignment Align with regional leadership on priorities and schedules Escalate risks and avoid changes without proper approval 6. Technician Leadership & Development Lead, coach, and develop service technicians Manage performance, training, and safety compliance 7. Scheduling & Capacity Management Balance service needs, maintenance, and project support Manage capacity and coordinate priorities with leadership 8. Escalation & Coordination Escalate risks and work cross-functionally to resolve issues Partner with leadership and teams to meet customer commitmentsSkills and Abilities:
Strong understanding of industrial systems: electrical, pneumatic, hot water, refrigeration, motors, compressors, gearboxes, and pumps. Knowledge of dairy processing systems, troubleshooting, and repair. Mechanical and/or electrical skills with a strong work ethic. Ability to coach, develop, engage, motivate, and retain high-performing teams. Clear, professional communication skills with customers and supervisors.Experience:
High school diploma, or equivalent required. Technical or vocational school degree preferred. 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience required, preferably working on dairy processing equipment. Experience in dairy Service, electrical (3-phase high and low voltage), refrigeration, automation, pneumatics, and robotics is preferred.Working Conditions:
Service Managers generally work long, unpredictable hours. Their work revolves around a set number of projects and service calls rather than a set number of working hours. Exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures throughout the workday. Working near dairy cows and other animals. Possible distraction/uncomfortable noise levels and vibration of body and extremities. Risk of bodily injury from mechanical parts, electricity, cows, etc. Possible exposure to fumes and odors that may affect respiration and skin.
