Logistics Analyst

Job Summary An ARC Supply Chain Solutions Logistics Analyst is the liaison between our clients, their suppliers/customers and the carrier base. The Analyst will be performing a wide array of operational business functions for the client, as well as focusing efforts on continuous improvement. Duties Coordinate and schedule service requests for freight transportation, ensuring optimal routing and timely deliveries. Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and GPS technology to track shipments and monitor vehicle locations. Perform data entry tasks related to service requests, shipment details, and customer information accurately. Communicate effectively with carriers, customers, and other stakeholders using phone systems and email to provide updates and resolve issues. Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure seamless shipping and receiving processes. Analyze transportation planning data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements within logistics operations. Maintain accurate records of all activities, including shipment statuses and delivery confirmations. Qualifications Proficiency in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and GPS applications is preferred. Strong data entry skills with attention to detail. Knowledge of freight operations, supply chain management, and shipping/receiving processes. Familiarity with Microsoft suite of products is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks effectively. Previous experience in transportation planning or logistics is an advantage. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
