Logistics Clerk Job Description As a Logistics Clerk, you will manage, organize, and maintain critical logistics data related to logistics SOW. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Knowledge of processing Bills of Lading and Packing Lists is required. Responsibilities Consolidate Finished Goods product information and procure invoices from Finance. Process outbound shipping documents, including Bill of Lading, Packing List, and Customer site information. Communicate with transportation carriers for documents and track/trace outbound shipments. Ensure timely and accurate data entry of outbound shipments. Follow up with transportation carriers for Proof of Delivery (POD) and invoice. Maintain the Outbound Shipping Summary daily. Upload outbound shipping documents in SAP and process carrier invoices for payment. Communicate with freight forwarders and confirm inbound delivery appointments. Update the Inbound Delivery Calendar daily. Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in a related field is a plus. At least 6 months of experience in a data entry or clerical role, preferably within a supply chain environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with manufacturing or ERP software (such as SAP, Oracle, or similar) is a plus. Strong ability to organize and manage large volumes of data accurately, with a focus on quality and precision. Good written and verbal communication skills to interact with team members and management. Ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies and potential issues in a timely manner. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with international shipping is a plus. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working on a computer. Work Environment This role involves working as part of a team of 3 Logistics Data Clerks with a 3/2/2/3 shift pattern, covering both day and night shifts. The position requires occasional physical activity, including sitting or standing for long periods and lifting materials up to 25 lbs. The work environment is supportive and geared towards fostering teamwork and efficiency. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brookshire, TX.
