SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS

The Colostrum Logistics Coordinator is responsible for facilitating all aspects of colostrum inventory, supplies, and transportation, including both fresh and frozen product. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, dependable professional with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. This individual must be a conceptual thinker who can effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong communication, time-management, and coordination skills are essential to ensure smooth operations across internal teams, warehouse partners, farms, and transportation carriers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare, schedule, and coordinate fresh and frozen colostrum shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery. Manage order preparation and shipment scheduling while working closely with management, operations, and warehouse teams. Serve as the primary day-to-day contact between transportation carriers and warehouse partners, resolving issues as they arise. Communicate inbound delivery schedules to the plant and provide all required documentation in advance. Maintain detailed inbound and outbound shipment schedules, ensuring accurate tracking and on-time arrivals. Ensure shipping documentation (e.g., bills of lading, delivery receipts, manifests) is completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner. Maintain freight spreadsheets to ensure accurate recordkeeping for invoice approval and payment. Maintain accurate inventory records for onsite and third-party warehousing locations. Reconcile system inventories with daily third-party receipts and investigate discrepancies. Coordinate with operations to ensure proper product rotation, inventory accuracy, and timely stock replenishment for both fresh and frozen colostrum. Provide weekly and monthly inventory reports to management. Manage pallet consolidation orders for frozen colostrum to optimize storage and transportation efficiency. Balance and verify that all manifests are received to ensure accurate producer payment. Manage farm supply ordering and maintain appropriate inventory levels to support collection operations. Create and manage stickers and labeling associated with colostrum collection. Coordinate test kit shipments to and from potential farms, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Maintain organized and accurate records to support audits, reporting, and operational reviews. Support a culture of continuous improvement by participating in process improvement, efficiency, and cost-saving initiatives. Identify opportunities to improve logistics, inventory accuracy, and communication workflows. Assure confidentiality and discreet handling of all company, producer, and operational information. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with people is essential. Familiarity with Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required. Experience with Adobe Acrobat is a plus.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

A High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required. College Degree is preferred but not required.
