Logistics Dispatcher

$18 - $22 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 5

PMeducation:

High SchoolResponsibilities Operations Supervisor may support, specialize, or focus on one or more customers or locations for transport needs  Communicate with Customer Service to accept loads for transport  Verify the accuracy of dispatch instructions  Manage drivers dispatch and attendance  Schedule customer pickups and deliveries; track throughout process  Coordinate dispatch needs with multiple terminals  Monitor trailer pools; anticipate needs and arrange maintenance as needed  Coordinate vehicle repairs with Maintenance Department to minimize the down-time and insure availability of sufficient equipment to answer customers needs  Update and maintain customer statistics and reports.  Enters data into computer system using defined computer programs  Enter trip details for processing driver payroll  Review routes for driver deliveries and pick-ups  Recommends actions to increase the productivity or profitability of the dispatch process.  Investigates questionable data.  Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.  Manage and Coach Drivers for Hours of Service utilization.  Manage and Coach Drivers on Miles per Gallon improvements.  Manage and Coach Drivers on their Safety PerformanceThe essential functions of this role include:working up to 5 hrs of overtime per weekSkillsDispatching (1 year of experience is required)Administrative DutiesPlanningSchedulingQualificationsYears of experience: 0 yearsExperience level: ExperiencedRandstad is a world leader in matching great people with great companies.
