  • As part of the Contract Logistics team at Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in designing, managing, and optimizing solutions that keep goods moving efficiently.

  • ‎•The Operations Manager will help develop and direct programs to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation and utilization of the facility and equipment.
  • How you create impact
  • + Plan and oversee all distribution operations (receiving, storage, sequencing, delivery, maintenance, and administration) to meet customer requirements efficiently.
+ Forecast and plan long-term labor needs based on production and management input. + Collaborate with the General Manager, supervisors, and customers to set goals, improve operations, and align on forecasts and production plans. + Develop and maintain facility layout, space utilization, and product locator systems to optimize cost and service performance. + Direct supervisory staff and establish procedures to ensure efficient, safe operations and proper use of equipment and facilities. + Ensure accurate inventory control, timely order fulfillment, reporting, and smooth product flow into and through the facility.
  • What we would like you to bring
  • + 5+ years of management experience in a fast-paced warehouse or production logistics environment.

Education:
High School diploma or technical degree required; Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or related field preferred. +
Technical Proficiency:
Demonstrated experience with WMS systems, automated warehouse environments, and strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite and material handling equipment. +
Leadership & Performance:
Proven track record leading teams, prioritizing work, managing multiple tasks, and delivering results in high-pressure environments. +
Communication & Problem Solving:
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused mindset and ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve operational challenges. +
Operational Excellence Mindset:
Highly organized and methodical with a continuous improvement approach, including experience or alignment with 5S principles and maintaining professional workplace standards.
