LOGISTICS SPECIALIST

Baker Hughes is looking for a Logistics Specialist to join our Operations team in Minden, NV. This role acts as the primary operational link between the company and its customers, ensuring shipments, documentation, and logistics processes run smoothly end to end. You will combine logistics execution with proactive customer communication, issue resolution, and ownership of service performance. Be a part of a team that keeps our operations moving As a Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for: Provide timely, clear updates on order status, shipment progress, delays, and documentation needs. Align with Planning, Production, and Warehouse teams to ensure customer orders ship accurately and on time. Prepare and verify commercial invoices, packing lists, COO, labeling, and compliance documents required by customers or freight forwarders. Investigate shipment delays, discrepancies, or customs holds and communicate solutions proactively to customers. Coordinate pickups, track shipments, and ensure carriers meet service expectations. Understand and execute customer‑specific routing guides, labeling rules, packaging standards, and documentation formats. Track KPIs such as on time delivery, documentation accuracy, and customer satisfaction. Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will: Have High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred. Have 2+ years of experience in logistics, inventory control, or return processing. Have familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar). Have strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Have good communication and problem-solving abilities. Have ability to work independently and as part of a team. Have basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word). Have aptitude for customer negotiations and interactions. Must be able to maintain a professional demeanor in high stress interactions with customers, vendors and internal personnel. Have flexibility in work roles and responsibilities as demands fluctuatePreferred Skills:
Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment. Experience with SAP or similar systems for deliveries, shipments, and inventory movements. Understanding of export/import rules, labeling, HTS, COO, and carrier requirements. Ability to communicate with professionalism, empathy, and clarity. Strong attention to detail for compliance‑critical documents. Ability to prioritize customer needs in a fast‑paced environment. Must demonstrate flexibility in adapting to frequent day‑to‑day process changes and embrace peer oversight as part of a collaborative, accountable team environment.
