Overview Join our dynamic team as a Logistics Specialist and become a vital driver of our supply chain excellence! In this energetic role, you will orchestrate the seamless movement of goods, optimize warehouse operations, and enhance transportation processes to ensure timely delivery and inventory accuracy. Your expertise will help us streamline logistics workflows, improve efficiency, and support our commitment to exceptional customer service. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in supply chain management while making a tangible impact on our global operations. Responsibilities Coordinate and manage transportation planning, including freight, shipping & receiving, and dispatching to ensure optimal delivery schedules. Oversee warehouse distribution activities, including inventory control, materials handling, and stock management using warehouse management systems (WMS). Utilize data analysis skills and tools like Tableau and SQL to monitor supply chain performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements. Collaborate with vendors and suppliers through procurement, sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiations to secure favorable pricing and terms. Conduct root cause analysis on supply chain disruptions or inefficiencies to develop effective solutions that enhance overall logistics operations. Manage transportation management systems (TMS) and ERP platforms such as AS400 or SAP to facilitate order fulfillment, demand planning, and inventory replenishment. Support warehouse experience activities like forklift operation (certified if applicable), shipping & receiving, and materials management to maintain smooth warehouse flow. Skills Strong data collection and analysis skills with proficiency in SQL, Tableau, and supply chain analytics tools. Extensive knowledge of supply chain management principles including procurement, category management, demand planning, and inventory control. Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms. Mechanical knowledge related to materials handling equipment such as forklifts; certification preferred. Excellent negotiation skills for vendor contracts and procurement negotiations that maximize value. Ability to perform process improvement initiatives using root cause analysis to streamline logistics workflows. Familiarity with freight forwarding processes including NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), 3PL (Third Party Logistics), shipping & freight regulations. $25.12 - $30.25 per hour
