Full-time Position Overview:
The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for the Chicago branch warehouse and delivery activities and acts as the primary liaison with third-party logistics carriers as required. Responsible for influencing company customer satisfaction, returns & allowances, inventory levels and turns, scrap rates, and error rates. This position is a key driver for delivering world class customer experience by managing and improving our ability to complete and timely delivery, by driving strong customer orientation on the warehouse and logistics side of the business. This is a full-time in-person position that will work at the Geneva, IL branch office Monday
  • Friday 6AM
  • 2:30PM.

  • $80,000, with eligibility to receive incentive compensation, such as an annual bonus.
Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, specific work geography, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. Responsibilities/Accountabilities includes the following but not limited to: Responsible for the direct supervision of non-exempt team members as assigned, may also include supervision of exempt team members. This includes, but is not limited to, selection, training, performance evaluation and development, skill assessment, discipline and discharge, payroll reporting, overtime scheduling and all other miscellaneous items that are involved in supervising this group. Keeps team informed on all company communications. Facilitates daily start-up meetings, coordinates meetings, schedules, and distributes information to team members. Displays strong problem resolution skills and the aptitude to overcome substantial obstacles in order to satisfy customers' needs. Must be able to effectively mitigate customer issues in all methods of communication
  • face to face, via telephone or through written correspondence and maintain professionalism in times of great adversity and pressure.
Manages cost center expenses for warehouse and logistics and ensures that resources are allocated properly throughout the year to stay within budget. Leadership responsibility in conducting physical inventories on a quarterly basis; responsible for planning, organizing and reporting of physical inventory results. Utilizes CI principles to analyze and develop measures to improve safety, quality and productivity. Responsible for maintaining company building and equipment, coordinates repairs and maintenance. Serve as key member for company's Safety Program. Participate and facilitate meetings, design policies and procedures, enforce safety policies and procedures, conduct safety audit tours, provide accident analysis and trends; accident statistics and reports.
Skills/Knowledge:
Must be able to develop a high level understanding of all Pella products and their applications Must have proficient problem solving abilities and the ability to think on their feet in order to appropriately resolve escalated situations that arise in the general course of business. Must exhibit superior communication skills and the ability to maintain professionalism in times of great adversity and pressure Works collaboratively and creates a sense of trust and reliability with internal team and customers Demonstrates a strong work ethic, flexible about hours, responsive to customer needs, willing to be available Adaptable to changing processes and priorities Works well without close supervision but always keeps their manager informed Focused on details and follow through Proficiency with Microsoft Office and smart devices, and ability to learn internal software programs and applications
