Job Summary Responsible for being able to perform all duties and tasks associated with kitting jobs and issuing materials, shipping sales orders, receiving customer or vendor supplied materials, RMAs and Inventory Control, including Full Physical Inventories and daily cycle-counts. Essential Job Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities Inventory Picking kits for jobs and issuing materials. Conducting cycle counts. Organizing and maintaining inventory locations, including updating default locations on parts as needed. Researching and reconciling inventory variances. Receiving Assist and fill in for receiving. Unpack and visually examine incoming shipments for damages Verify counts of incoming products and/or supplies against the Packing Slip, perform the Purchase Order Receipt in Epicor Refuse damaged shipments, and note the damage on the delivery Bill of Lading Accurately enter receipts of all product and/or supplies received into the Epicor system. Put parts away in a timely manner. Shipping Assist and fill in for shipping. Determine method of shipment from the sales order. Pick and pack product. Process the sales order in Epicor and through the FedEx/UPS software Assist with crating of product as required. Ensure freight charges are applied properly; prepay and add, collect, prepaid, etc. Run and distribute end of day shipping reports. Knowledge of ISO procedures and follow as required. Actively participates in Labsphere's continuous improvement process. Maintains an organized and clean work area. Other duties as assigned. General Requirements (Education, Experience, Attributes of Successful Candidate) High school diploma or equivalent, one year of material control (stockroom attendant, receiving, production control). Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including the use of spreadsheets, databases, graphs and word processing. Experience in with UPS Worldship, FedEx Ship Manager, and other shipping software platforms. Experience using ERP systems. Epicor experience preferred but not required. Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor to deal with internal and external contacts. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work effectively in a multitask environment under deadlines. Must work independently and show initiative. Proven ability to meet challenges that lie beyond the current position description and learn to solve problems creatively. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, kneel, reach, lift (up to 35 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally), sit and stand as well as talk and/or hear. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met be an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The work environment is casual, yet professional. The individual in this position will be exposed to a production/manufacturing and warehouse environments as well as a normal office environment. The noise level in the work area is usually moderate. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
