Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract A healthcare facility in Bridgeton, NJ is seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist for an 8-week contract position with an immediate start. This role offers the opportunity to work day shifts with some evenings and rotating weekends, providing essential pharmaceutical care in a long-term care setting. Responsibilities include accepting and dispensing prescription medications, monitoring patient medication compliance, and ensuring the legal supply of medicines. This role requires maintaining accurate, confidential patient records and advising patients on medication use, possible reactions, and answering their questions. You will provide consultations on prescription and non-prescription medications, educate patients on the proper use of medical devices, and offer services such as smoking cessation, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management. Other key duties involve compounding medications, preparing sterile solutions, supervising pharmacy staff, managing inventory, and identifying drug-related problems while collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required Current, valid New Jersey pharmacy license Experience in long-term care pharmacy preferred Strong knowledge of medication laws and regulations Ability to provide excellent patient counseling and education Supervisory experience is a plus
