Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract A pharmacy role is available on a contract basis for an experienced pharmacist to support medication management and patient care. This assignment requires a licensed pharmacist to ensure safe and effective pharmaceutical services while supervising pharmacy staff.

    Bridgeton, NJ Schedule:
    • Days, some evenings, rotating weekends

      Key Responsibilities:
      • Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately and in compliance with regulations
      • Monitor patient medication compliance, usage patterns, and address drug-related issues
      • Maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy files meticulously
      • Advise patients on medication use, potential side effects, and answer related questions
      • Provide consultation on prescription and OTC medications, including storage, dosage, and interactions
      • Deliver patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure measurement, and cholesterol management
      • Educate patients on proper use of medical devices like blood pressure monitors and glucose meters
      • Compound and prepare sterile medications following established procedures
      • Supervise pharmacy technicians and clerks, ensuring smooth pharmacy operations
      • Manage pharmaceutical and medical inventory effectively
      • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
      Qualifications and Experience:
      • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required
      • Valid New Jersey State Pharmacy License mandatory
      • Proven experience in dispensing and patient counseling
      • Strong knowledge of medication laws and pharmacy operations
