POSITION

Long-Term Substitute Grade 5 English Language Arts and Social Studies Teacher 2026-2027 School Year Shrewsbury Public Schools is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Grade 5 ELA and Social Studies teacher for the upcoming school year for Sherwood Middle School. This assignment would begin with the start of the 2026-2027 school year and will last through the last day of school in June 2027. The rate of pay is $280 per day. Candidates with diverse racial, ethnic, cultural, religious, class, and/or gender backgrounds and experiences are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Qualifications Include:

• Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license to teach humanities at the middle school level is preferred or elementary 1-6
• Excellent communication skills with parents/caretakers and colleagues
• Demonstrates the values of Shrewsbury Public Schools
• Strong knowledge of middle school student needs and programming
