QUALIFICATIONS
1. Pennsylvania Certification
  • K-12 Art
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Demonstrate knowledge of subject matter and current instructional strategies and approaches to subject/grade area. 2. Demonstrate a variety of teaching methods and techniques that motivate students to perform to their optimum ability. 3. Utilize strategies that differentiate instruction to address the ability level of all students 4. Demonstrate basic understanding of instructional techniques appropriate for students with cognitive and behavioral needs. 5. Utilize strategies and activities which encourage the development of critical and analytical thought processes by students. 6. Teach subject matter as prescribed in the Board-approved curriculum. 7. Cooperate with staff and administration to promote and maintain a sound learning environment. 8. Act as a professional role model for students and staff. 9. Participate in professional organizations and professional growth activities such as appropriate seminars, courses, workshops, and staff development activities. 10. Communicate with parents and appropriate professional staff to discuss student needs and progress. 11. Cooperate with department chair, team leader, and other staff members to promote curriculum and professional growth of the department. 12. Demonstrate use of Writing Across the Curriculum activities that relate to specific areas. 13. Demonstrate use of Technology Curriculum Outcomes as related to specific subject/grade areas. 14. Provide thorough and punctual reports, data, forms, etc., as requested by administration. 15. Adhere to all policies and procedures as delineated in the district's Board manual, staff handbook, and administrative requests. 16. Demonstrate appropriate use of classroom management techniques. 17. Demonstrate basic understanding of instructional techniques appropriate for students with cognitive and behavioral needs.
EVALUATION
Annually in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation and F.E.A. contract
