Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated Low Voltage Helper / Construction Helper to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will assist skilled technicians with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems across various construction sites and facilities. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills in telecommunications, networking, and electrical systems while contributing to critical infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and a commitment to safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Assist with installation of speakers and clocks in classrooms Support project team with general labor tasks Maintain a safe and organized work area Requirements Prior experience as a service technician or construction helper in low voltage or telecommunications fields is preferred. Basic understanding of electrical systems, NEC codes, and low voltage wiring practices. Knowledge of schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for telecommunication equipment. Ability to operate hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, crimpers) and power tools safely. Upon meeting eligibility criteria, Verigent offers the following benefits:

  • Coordinating movements of the eyes, hands, fingers and feet
  • Ascending and descending of stairs, ladders, lifts, etc.
  • Speaking, hearing and seeing to avoid safety hazards
  • Strenuous manual labor The environment for this job will involve:
  • Indoor and/or outdoor elements
  • Hot and/or cold temperatures
  • Uneven terrain and/or obstacles
  • Interactions with other individuals
  • Loud noises
  • Large machinery
