ASAP Overview We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician with experience in structured cabling and access control systems. This role involves hands-on installation, termination, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems in commercial environments. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong technical ability, reliability, and leadership potential, with the opportunity to grow into a lead role. Key Responsibilities Install, pull, route, and terminate Cat5e/Cat6 cabling Perform structured cabling installations including rack and stack, patch panels, and cable management Install and support access control systems , including: Door hardware (mag locks, strikes) Readers, request-to-exit devices, and door contacts Basic panel wiring and troubleshooting Perform cut-ins for devices and hardware installations Use testing equipment (e.g., volt meter ) to verify system performance Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and scope documents Maintain clean and organized job sites, especially in active environments Assist with or lead small crews as needed Communicate effectively with team members, leads, and project stakeholders Required Qualifications Experience in low voltage installation (structured cabling and/or access control) Proficient in cable termination, labeling, and testing Familiarity with access control hardware and systems Ability to use hand tools and testing equipment (multimeter/volt meter) Ability to read prints and follow installation standards Valid driver's license Willingness to travel locally between job sites Preferred Qualifications Low Voltage License (state or local, if applicable) Experience leading crews or mentoring junior technicians Strong background in access control installations and door hardware Experience working in commercial or multi-site environments Work Environment & Requirements Field-based role with travel to job sites within local coverage area Requires full PPE and standard low voltage tools Must be able to pass background check and drug screening Physically able to lift equipment, climb ladders, and work in various environments Growth Opportunity This position offers a clear path to leadership , with the opportunity to move into a lead technician role and oversee additional team members based on performance. #tekonePay:
