Job Description:

Lower School Teacher (2026-27 School Year) St. John's Parish Day School, an Episcopal school serving students from Early Childhood through Grade 5, is seeking a Lower School Teacher beginning August 2026. Our Lower School program balances strong academics with social-emotional development, creating a joyful and engaging classroom experience where children feel known, valued, and inspired. Our classrooms are grounded in a Responsive Classroom approach, fostering strong relationships, a sense of belonging, and a positive learning environment. We are seeking an educator who values whole child education, builds meaningful relationships with students and families, and creates a classroom community where curiosity and confidence can grow. Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver instruction in language arts, mathematics, social studies, and social-emotional learning
• Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners
• Foster a warm, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
• Assess and monitor student progress
• Communicate regularly and effectively with families
• Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and administrators Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required
• Elementary teaching experience preferred
• Strong understanding of early childhood and lower school development
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Collaborative, reflective, and relationship-centered approach Salary Range $52,000 to $62,000 based on experience and years of service.
