Full-time Job Summary:

The Assistant Mill Manager will support daily millwork and woodworking production operations while driving safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is responsible for supervising production teams, coordinating equipment maintenance, managing material flow and inventory, ensuring quality standards, and meeting production schedules and lead times.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily millwork production operations and supervise shop floor employees. Lead safety practices, employee training, and equipment compliance procedures. Manage production schedules, material flow, inventory, and waste reduction efforts. Coordinate maintenance and efficient operation of woodworking/manufacturing equipment. Ensure quality control, accurate production data, and on-time delivery of products. Support team development through training, mentoring, and cross-functional supervision. Collaborate with sales and operations teams regarding production capabilities and timelines.

Requirements:

8+ years of production/manufacturing experience with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role. Experience with woodworking, millwork, lumber processing, or industrial manufacturing equipment. Strong leadership, operational, and organizational skills. Knowledge of lumber species/grading is highly preferred. Certifications or training in OSHA, Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, Manufacturing, or related areas are a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:
