Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Lumber Yard Worker and become a vital part of our fast-paced warehouse environment! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling, organizing, and managing lumber and building materials to ensure smooth operations. Your proactive approach and attention to safety will help us deliver top-quality service to our customers. Whether you're operating heavy equipment or assisting with order picking, your contributions will keep our yard running seamlessly and safely every day. Duties Load and unload lumber and materials using forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment while adhering to OSHA safety standards. Manage inventory by organizing stock in the yard, utilizing warehouse management systems for efficient materials handling. Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all items are accurately documented and stored properly. Support order picking activities by selecting materials with precision using pickers or other tools. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment by following safety protocols related to heavy lifting, mechanical knowledge, and warehouse operations. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize warehouse distribution workflows and improve overall efficiency. Skills Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or construction environments. Skilled in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks. Familiarity with warehouse management systems including Quickbooks, and order picking procedures. Strong mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper ergonomic practices. Knowledge of OSHA regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
