Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Emergency Department
On-site Prenatal Clinic and Infusion Center are looking for top skilled LVN. Is that you?
Work location: Texas Health
HEB, 1600
Hospital Parkway in Bedford, TX 76022. Work hours: Full Time, Evening Shift (3p to 3a), 3 shifts, 36 hours per week. Rotating holiday and weekend requirements. Department highlights:- No weekend requirements for this role.
- The professional LVN exhibits understanding of basic human needs as well as demonstrates recognition and understanding of patient's affiliations.

Plan of Care and Technical Skills:
- Collaborates with team to facilitate hourly rounding and initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information.
- Takes action to reduce/eliminate patient risks.
- Collects data and reports significant findings to RN.
- Safely administers medication in accordance with medication administration guidelines.
- Uses nursing model to obtain adequate data to initiate, implement, and revise plan of care to meet patient, physician, and family needs.
- Individualizes care measures to reflect specific patient population. Performs technical procedures safely and proficiently.
- Demonstrates critical thinking.
- Adheres to national safety goals in care delivery.
- Monitors patients.
Partnerships:
- Works in partnership with peers, other disciplines, and unlicensed assistive personnel.
- Actively participates in formal and informal teaching and evaluation to strengthen clinical competence of self and team members.
- Uses Unit Based Council structure.
- Flexible with scheduling to help meet departmental/patient needs.
- Adapts to changes in workload assignment to meet changing needs of the individual patient or the unit.

- LVN
- Licensed Vocational Nurse required for Texas.
- BCLS
- Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly, required.
- CPI
- Crisis Prevention Intervention training within 90 days of hire, required.
- 6 (six) months previous experience in an acute care hospital setting or completion of a THR residency program, required.
