LVN, FT, Evenings, Emergency Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Emergency Department On-site Prenatal Clinic and Infusion Center are looking for top skilled LVN. Is that you? Work location: Texas Health
HEB, 1600
Hospital Parkway in Bedford, TX 76022. Work hours: Full Time, Evening Shift (3p to 3a), 3 shifts, 36 hours per week. Rotating holiday and weekend requirements. Department highlights:
  • No weekend requirements for this role.

What You Will Do
Plan of Care and Technical Skills:
  • Collaborates with team to facilitate hourly rounding and initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information.
  • Takes action to reduce/eliminate patient risks.
  • Collects data and reports significant findings to RN.
  • Safely administers medication in accordance with medication administration guidelines.
  • Uses nursing model to obtain adequate data to initiate, implement, and revise plan of care to meet patient, physician, and family needs.
  • Individualizes care measures to reflect specific patient population. Performs technical procedures safely and proficiently.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking.
  • Adheres to national safety goals in care delivery.
  • Monitors patients.
Partnerships:
  • Works in partnership with peers, other disciplines, and unlicensed assistive personnel.
  • Actively participates in formal and informal teaching and evaluation to strengthen clinical competence of self and team members.
  • Uses Unit Based Council structure.
  • Flexible with scheduling to help meet departmental/patient needs.
  • Adapts to changes in workload assignment to meet changing needs of the individual patient or the unit.

  • LVN
  • Licensed Vocational Nurse required for Texas.
  • BCLS
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly, required.
  • CPI
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention training within 90 days of hire, required.
  • 6 (six) months previous experience in an acute care hospital setting or completion of a THR residency program, required.
