Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a part-time Occupational Therapist in a school-based setting near Bedford, TX. This contract role runs onsite from June 1st to June 25th, offering you the chance to make a meaningful impact over the summer. Work closely with a diverse caseload—54 students receiving direct therapy and 14 students through consult—delivering essential services that foster student growth and success in their educational environment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist licensure in the state of Texas Prior experience working in schools or with pediatric populations preferred Strong understanding of school-based OT practices Proficiency in preparing and managing IEP paperwork Skilled communicator, comfortable collaborating with students, staff, and families
Core Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, focusing on their individual needs and educational goals Conduct consults for students requiring indirect OT services Collaborate with educators and related service professionals to develop and implement effective strategies Complete and maintain IEP paperwork to ensure compliance and best practices Attend ARD meetings as a valued member of the support team, contributing your expertise Track student progress, documenting sessions and updating goals as appropriate Discover the fulfillment of helping students thrive while enjoying a flexible, part-time schedule—just two hours a week.
