Technician Objective:
The basic function of the Installation Technician is to professionally install HVAC equipment for both residential and commercial properties, as assigned by the Installation Coordinator, Supervisor and Manager and in conjunction with company guidelines. Responsibilities will include maintaining the quality of work to acceptable company standards, completing tasks in a timely manner and representing the company in a qualified manner. The installation technician could also work in conjunction with service as they need partnership on client projects, as well as assisting the warehouse with parts acquisition and distribution. They will be responsible for providing versatile support across service, installation and the warehouse.
Primary Functions:
The ability to climb, bend, stoop, crawl, kneel, lift, and work in diverse temperature ranges and in high or enclosed spaces, and outside in extreme weather conditions Install a variety of heating & cooling residential and commercial equipment Adhering to proper procedures in the use of paperwork (work order forms, dispatch/job notes, etc.) Follow scheduling directions from manager, supervisor and coordinator Keeping the coordinator informed as of job statuses Efficient and effective response to customer installation and equipment needs Log notes, equipment information into scheduling software Take and send pictures to office staff of equipment as needed Communicate with Warehouse staff about parts and/or equipment needed for job sites
Secondary Functions:
Coordinate with staff to plan routes, pick up and deliver materials to field personnel Pick up parts from supply houses for stock/service/installation technicians as needed Maintain a neat appearance and neat upkeep of company vehicle Attend scheduled training classes and seminars as required by management Maintain company sales promotions and pricing updates Responsible for always having all minimum required stock on truck Familiarity with scheduling software and company technologies Other tasks as delegated by the Management team
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervision responsibilities.
Work Environment:
The requirements of this position require participation in a variety of work-space environments along with a variety of LAS team members.
Conditions:
The Installation Technician will be required to communicate with employees from all departments daily while holding a high standard of professionalism. All interactions must reflect the core values of Lawrence Air Systems, Inc. regardless of location or circumstance. The physical demands for this position are high. Must occasionally lift equipment and/or parts 50 pounds or greater. Must be able to withstand the physical requirements of the position and adapt to changing environments.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am- 4:00pm, however this position requires attendence 7:30am- through 4:00pm. Supporting peers and completion of projects may require working beyond 4:00pm. Occasionally, weekend projects may be avaiable with managerial approval. This postion will provide a 40 hour work week with the option for overtime.
Travel:
The Installation Technician will be responsible for the upkeep of their company vehicle. In addition, the Installation Technician will promise to abide by enforced motor vehicle laws and will ensure safe operation of vehicles when in use. Unsafe operation or misuse of company vehicles may result in termination.

Graduated or working towards technical school diploma EPA certifications PJF License Ability to multitask Ability to support the demands of technicians in the field Valid Driver's License Clean Driving Record Ability to maintain safe operation of company vehicles Detail oriented and highly organized Ability to communicate effectively with warehouse associates, field technicians, office staff, vendors, company owners and clients Ability to role model the core values of Lawrence Air Systems, Inc.
