• Full-time Job description IPR is the pharmaceutical industry's leading supplier of tablet press modernization and PLC control upgrades.

Our customers include pharmaceutical, generic, OTC, and vitamin tablet manufacturers. Machine Builder & Automation Technician Candidate will work with our CNC, engineering, and manufacturing teams to operate and tend a CNC lathe or mill, and build, test, and support patented tablet press machinery for pharmaceutical companies. Type of work will be dependent on shop priorities. Primary job duties Operate a CNC lathe Operate a CNC Mill Build and test tablet press assemblies by referencing 3D CAD Part & Assembly Models and 2D Drawings Perform functional machine testing Perform on-site customer startup and training Perform calibration, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting services Perform manual machining processes using mill, lathe, band saw, drill press, and bench grinder Required Skills CNC machine operation experience (Minimum 3 Years) Machinery Service and/or Assembly Experience Required (Minimum 5 Years) Ability to read electrical schematics and perform diagnostic and troubleshooting using a volt meter Able to read 2D mechanical drawings and understand dimensions and tolerances Ability to operate manual mill, lathe, band saw, drill press, and bench grinder Ability to use hand tools Excellent comprehension of fasteners and fastener sizes including thread pitch and length Familiarity with machinery components including gears, bearings, motors, and cylinders Familiarity with pneumatics and hydraulics Familiarity with PLC controls and digital and analog devices Excellent verbal and written skills Problem solving/troubleshooting skills for both components and subsystems Able to travel occasionally to customers in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico Education Associates Degree from college, technical school, or equivalent experience.
